JOCKEY CLUBS TRIBUTE TO H. B. DURYEA. Tlie resolutions of cendnltnrs recently adopted by the stewards of the Jockey club on the death of the late 11. B- Iuiyea and transmitted to Mrs. Dnryea were couched in the following language: ■■The death of Iiarouuroa Barknlo Dnryea, which oil u red on January 25, ai Saranac Lake, removed from the turf an honored horse breeder and owner of high standing and character and deprives ins associates of a companion who was warmly es teemed and greatly rained. ••The career of Mr. Hnryea as a sportsman of unusual ability is well known, and his repatation is of national importance. Apart from his marked success as an amateur yachtsman of skill and oarage, the Jockey Clan 1 patriculsrly desires to dwell upon his many well-eaiucil victories upon the turf of this country and thai of England awl France, and to pay a tribute to his intelligent development of the thoroughbred horse, in the breeding, training and racing of this animal. •His absence from the many meetings, at which he was always ■ prominent figure, will l o deplored, and his friends will keenly feel the loss of a presence which was sincerely appreciated ami prized."
