EIDER DIVISION OF IMPORTED HORSES. Big- Band of Tliree-Year-Olds and Over Which May Race with Us This Year. So many foreigu-bred horse* have been imported into this country recently that it is difficult to keep track id them. A few were stallions and many broodmares for breeding purposes, but these are much • utnumbered by those designed primarily for racing. The greatest number of any ttge arc now two | ear olds, but there is quite a respectable contingent of three-year-olds and over, most of which will probably be found taking part in our coating racing of this year, a few in jumping, but tbe majority in nat racing. A number of them will do their first racing here. Of the following list of fifty-six such horses, something over a dozeu are of tile band bought in Kngland in DM4 for J. Livingston by Phil Chiiin. some of which have already raced well here. Of the others Arriet wis a fist sprinter in England. Allunieur won in France, lapperbil and Star Hawk were two of the best two year olds in Kngland last year, Fngelbert i- German bred, but won in tine style in Kngland last year. Emerald Isle II. won in Ireland. Hor.eywood. which will not he seen out until late in the racing year, if then, was in the front rank of Englands handicap hor-es. Hesperus has never ran but is one of the most richly -bred horses ever imported. Iolistcna won the only race she ever started in and is etremly fast.
