CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Mrs. W. D. Muaaua, the only woman trainer in America, has arrived at Juarez with Infidel 11. and two other horses. It is reported that there will be a twenty-day meeting at Overland Park. Denver, beginlng in June and that a meeting at Ren ■ . New. will follow it closely. W. L. Crosby id Boston will race a considerable string of horses this season under the name of the Grosvenor Stable. Ho has already taken a subscription for tile Piping Rock Subscription Handicap for two-year-olds. apt. C. K. Rockwell, one of the most enthusiastic- of the- sportsmen of the army, has changed his address to I.akewood. N. J. Captain Rockwell promises to come to the races this year with a good String of horses. Lieut. K. C. Palmer, who has been stationed at Hawaii for a considerable time, will be back east this year. He has taken out a certificate to ride and will be a valuable addition to the ranks Of the amateurs. Of the big string of two-year-olds George Ocloni is training, the filly Whitney Belle, by Ogden — Beatrice K.. and the colt IM Garrison, by Ogden — Country Fraud, please critics most on account of their appearance and easy way of going wheal exercised. The filly is thought to be of unusual promise. Robert Iledlev of Philadelphia has purchased from the estate of the- late Joseph S. Hoy. the brown two-year-old colt bj Burgomaster —Lady Karma, ami also the- mare Lady Karma, in foal to BargOaMSler, and has placed them in charge of trainer Robert Boyle of Sheepshead Bay. who successfully trained such good racers at Thistle-dale. Waterway, smoker. Terab and others. Mr. Hedley contemplates the purchase of several other good youngsters.
