ENTRIES CLOSE FOR THE KINGS PLATE. Toronto, Ont., March 7. — Fntries for the Kings Plate, the outstanding feature t be run at Woodbine during the May meeting of the Ontario Jockey Club, have closed, but they will n d be announced for -i few days. It is expected that the li-t of nominations will be eqaatiy as larue as in recent years, as all the big Canadian staples will be represented. The Seagram stable has seven eligible* for the coveted trophy, including Gala Day, Gala Water. Mandarin. Sweet Colleen. Del.aven. Lale Hours and Alccto. Five of the number were winners last year, and the Waterloo turfman is conceded to have aa excellent chance of faking the bom rs. Armine will bo the dependence of Harr Giddngs. Ban Shore and TborncUffe are the Thorn .Fill.- stable- eligible*. McBrlde will be the hope of the Brookdale Stable- of the Messrs. Dyment; and Charles crew will be represented by Old Pop. Good Shot is among those eligible from the stable of Sir .1 iin S. Ilendrie. Charles Millar, who furnished the winner last year, has only one eiiui hie, that being Shrovetide, a four year old niaicleii. which would have- to Improve to !»• dangerous, providing be is named for the event.
