WILSONS IMPORTED TWO -YEAR -OLDS. An eastern writer has inspected R. T. Wilsons five English -bred two-year-aids and gained a favorable impression, saying of them: "A note-worthy improvement is observable in the five- English-bred two-year okas purchased by Robert Sevier for R. T. Wilson. These- animals, three- colts and two fillies came over early in the- fall season on the- Atlantic Transport Lines steamship Philadelphia!!, and. as the;, hail a hntg an. I rough voyage, they arrived here looking both rough and lean, but during the late autumn and winter they have been developing finely, and now they are a decidedly attractive-band. "The smallest of them now. as was the case when they first landed, is the- black filly by Royal Fox. Shi- is will formed and blood -like all over, mil is as healthy and robust as could be wished, but she is rather undersized. The finest in the quintette as far as size- and conformation is concerned is the chestnut e-olt by Radium Payre. This is a bright chestnut colt marked only with a sni ill star. lie- is of unusual length from nose to tail, having a long neck, oblique shoulders, long and well formed barrel, muscular loin and great reach iu the Quarten, which are- gracefully formed and characterized by unusually good driving power. His croup is high, and his hocks and knees an- close to the ground. This colt has good bone below the- knee, excellent past-ins. and iie has tin- look of one which might develop into a really good race horse, should his action prove as good as his conformation. "The brown colt by Santo: -Cornfield is another of the- big ones iu the quintette, lb- is ,,f tie, stout and masculine sort, and has admirable racing outlines. What little- could be- seen or his action before the track became unfit for exercising gallops and when he- was barely bridle-wise, gave all who taw him in action an extremely favorable impression of his way of going, and with many of the Belmont Park trainers he- has became a marked favorite. "Tiie bay colt by Desmond--Ardent, which was one of the- smaller of the band when they first landed in this country, has grown and thickened remarkably during tin- winter, and now he is about as large as either of the colts just described, lb is a strong and racy -looking colt, showing great power, especially in his quarters, while he has the blood like aeck and oblique shoulders of a real racehorse-. All in all. this teems to be- the most improved member of the quintette. "Last on the list is a bay filly by Dark Ronald — Rest Relic. While less striking in appearance than In -r larger stable mates, this filly appe-ars to lie one of the- useful sort, and those- who have seen her iu action have- leoen favorably impressed bv her."
