Baltimore. Mel.. March 30. — Horsemen continue to arrive at Bowie. There are now upwards e f ." «H racers at Bowie and Denning and this total will be swilled to above 700 before the end of the week. The most recent arrivals from the south and want are o-orge P. Sherman. J. G. Wagnon. John OBrien, Michael J. Daly. George Rhillips. Kelley Phillips. John Phillips. S. .Tuelge. Bdurard Cunningham, Robert B. Stelle. Kimball Patterson. Kelward Nash, George Alexandra, Kelward Whalen. Harry Shannon. W. A. Carter. A. C. Parre-tto. Clyde N. Freeman. W. P. Adams and Louis Backer. Cunningham, who will train the- string of James MacManus. has a useful outfit, including Pre-sump-tion. Meade Park, Chesterton and OSullivan. and the three-year-olds Oratorium. Precision and Fastnet. Mr. MacManus. who has been here all week watching the- galloping of his horses, is well pleased with their condition. They made the trip from New Orleans without mishap or the development of car sickness and all have done splendidly since their arrival at Bowie. The same may truthfully be said of practically every stable at the new Maryland track, where there has been no sickness since- last fall. Mr. Fre-eman. who came till the way from El Paso, brought Rosemary. Durin. Tactl-ss and Nannie McDee. The Free-man lot are all seasoned campaigners and will be busy from the start. There are many favorites with whose names and form Maryland racing folk are familiar in the stable of the Phillips. Among the best-knewn are Redland. Christophine. Phil Ingar. iSroomsedge. Dr. Kendall. Ask Ma. All Smiles, Fair Ib-lc-n and Yiley. The Phillips outfit raced all winter at New Orleans. Louis Decker, another arrival from F.l Paso, brought Stellarina. with which George Odom won several raee-s last year: the sprinter Striker and the five-year-old Brighouse The horses in the stable of Kimball Fattcrson include Madame Herrmann. which Patterson claimed Bt New Orleans from Frank B. Kay. and a two-year-old he got in the same way. Frank Friable brought Pharaoh, Soldier, Song of Valley, Elsie Bonero. .Tacklet. Aldonus and three three-vear-old maidens from Laurel. Dr. J. S. Tyre-e of Washington will not send any horses to the? post at Bowie, but will have- his stable conditioned for the Havre de Grace meeting. His silks will be seen at Pimlico. too. Samuel Ross of Washington will be represented at Bowie by a trio of younsters — Ultimatum, Crank and Blodwon.
