Prince Harry and Gipscy George Hove Well in Preparation for the Kentucky Derby — Aunt Liz Shows Astonishing Speed. Lexington, Ky.. April 110. — U;ink ODny, a candidate for the Camden Handicap, and Louise Stone. a candidate for Hm Ashland Oaks. both from .1. S. Hawkins stable, this morning worked a mile over the Kentucky Association track ill 1:11-.-., the fast- est of the spring here. They both moved impressively. John II. Stamper. .Ir.s Prince Harry, trained by Grover Hushes, worked a mile in 1:43% in preparation for the Kentucky Derby. It was an interesting improvement on his previous efforts. ltijr Fellow was with him lor the first three-quarters. Gipscy George, owned by Mose Moore and trained by V ill lerkins. covered a mile in 1:43%. lie is also eligible to the Derby. The most sparkling display of speed ever seen here, however, came from a down -hill run from the head of the stretch to the finishing post of the California filly Aunt Liz. owned by Charles W. Clark and trained by John Lowe. She did it iu 22 and was timed by at least twenty men, among them John Lowe, "Iaddy" Tomlinsou, Charles II. Hughes. Louis Calm and It. Iiwen-steln. This filly has no stake engagements here and it is fortunate for some owners of two-year-olds that she has not. She started twice at New Orleans and won each time, the first time setting the track record for a half mile at 47-;,. Satin, a half-sister to Marse Henry and Cas-uarina. owned by Sc nator J. X. Camden and trained by J. C Milam, worked half a mile in 49 in preparation for the Brooders Futurity. Mose Gohlblutt arrived this morning from Louisville with ten horses, several of them owned by Jefferson Livingston, among them Iron Mask. Alde-Imrau. Othello. 1 5 room Corn, White Crown, Sosius and First Degree. George H. Holies Miss Atkin and Fan Handle arrived from Nashille in charge of trainer H. Boseachor. Charles T. Boots, a widely known California breeder and turfman, was a visitor at the course this morning. He is enroute home from the east and stopiM-d off here to see his friend J. O. Kecne and Judge A. W. Hamilton, of Mount Sterling. He saw James Howe while in New York and thinks he may win the Kentucky Derby with Thunderer, if he concludes to bring him to Kentucky.
