The officials Oft the track were instructed to rigidly enforce rule 2WA and to keep all persons suspended off the tr::eks during the period of their suspension. The | osition of racing steward to represent the commission was abolished. The officers of the different racing associations were instructed to attend all meetings of the commission in the future. A Rate forbidding the racing aft two-year-olds before April 1 was offered and will lie over for thirty days, when it will be passed. The commission on increased distances made the recommendations approved at its meeting several days ago and the commission approved them and notified Secretary Nuckols to instruct racing secretaries to carry them out as nearly as possible. W. H. Landenian was reappointed pari-mutuel supervisor and Vernon Sanders was reappointed telegraph censor for all tracks. Rule 225 A was amended to read: So that all races will l e run if filled by four starters, instead of three, as formerly. A large number of licenses were issued to trainers and jockeys. Only three applications, those of jockeys C. Jones. Eddie McKwen and H. Guy were held up. pending investigation. Messrs. Charles F. Grainger, T. II. Talbott and S. C. Nuckols were appointed to chairman J. N. Camden to serve as a committee on licenses. Judge Allie W. Young was the only member of the commission absent. He is stili at Hot Springs.
