C0NNAUGHT PARK PROGRAM ANNOUNCED. Ottawa. Out.. April 28. — Announcement was made that there would be two stake races of ,000 .each at the spring meeting of the Connaiight Park Jockcv lull. June 15-22. It was originally intended to eliminate the stakes and have only overnight races, but secretary Boss, who returned this week from the south, has recommended a change. Consequently the Duke of Connaught Cup of ,000 added will lie among the offerings, also another stake, probablv the City of Ottawa Cup and ,000. All the over-night purses will be for 00 or 00 and there will be a Canadian -bred race and a steeplechase each afternoon. It was also announced that A. li. Dade would again act as starter, with judge Joseph A. Murphy of St. Louis, and judge Francis Nelson of Toronto, as stewards. Joseph McLennan will act as clerk of the scales and racing secretary. Local men will be engaged for other positions in connection with the racing itself, and in the pari-mutuel plant and Canadians will be employed wherever possible. The book of conditions will be distributed shortly. Jockey W. Lee of Ottawa, has gone to Toronto to ride for Jack Graver at Woodbine. Mike Gorman has put in bids for several of the Seagram horses and will add to his string. Jerry Gorman has two likely two-yea- olds in Woodroffe and Bivermead, and they will race at Woodbine next month.
