R0AMER MAY NOT COME TO KENTUCKY. New York. May 0.— While Andrew Miller is anxious to start Roamer in the Kentucky Handicap, there is a chance he will not be quite ready. The long and severe winter delayed training so decidedly that batata here are at least two or three weeks behind their work of last year. Roamer was given a fast half mile Thursday and did not perform the task to the entire satisfaction of either Mr. Miller or his trainer. Jack Goldsborongh. "I hope to start him in the Kentucky Handicap," said Mr. Miller, "but he may not be quite ready, though there is yet a month to fit him. and he will probably have a race or two before June 3. Roamer is not an early horse, and much will depend upon his trials after the season opens here. I am more than axious to start him, but he will not l e hur-ride in his preparations. Goldsborongh will train him in his usual systematic way." .
