TKA CADDY was in a tangle at the start, but gradually improved his position and drew clear when hard urged to win going away. TREE AS STEEL set a good pace under restraint, but gave way in the linal seventy yards. YANKFK NOTIONS raced well throughout, ran next to the rail to the quarter post, then was taken to the center of the track and was going fast at the finish. FlZZY WFZZY finished gamely on the outside. DERVISH quit. The winner, entered for ,200, was bid up to ,005 and bought in. BALLY almost unseated his rider at the start and closed a gap steadily, but tired in the final drive. YLLLOWSTONK was repeatedly cut off. COMRADE ran well. BASIN liegnn slowly, but moved up rapidly while rounding the far turn and wore the leaders down in the homestretch to win with speed in reserve. LORD ROCK VALE raced in near pursuit and took the lead on the backstretch, but tired. GALLOP raced into the lead when entering the homestretch and lost ground at the eighth post, but came again under punishment. SPEARHEAD was buffeted about in the early running. IBB FINN ran forwardly from the start and came wide when entering the homestretch, but wore STROMBOLI down in the last sixteenth and won drawing clear. STROMBOLI, under hard urging, drew into a d.-.r lead when an eighth out. but tired when challenged. SPFR saved ground all the way and hung on gamely in th" final drive. GAIMBB closed a big gap and raced extremely wide throughout. IIICH NOON set a great pace and was not persevered with when he tired. FRIAR ROCK ran lietter than the chart shows. llAlBKKK met with much interference and was eased up in the linal eighth. 1 SLlMBKR II. ran well. BRENTWOOD was saved until in the lust half mile, then came fast, but was knocked off his stride at the last jump by the winner. A foul was claimed, but not allowed. COMPLIMENT raced well under his weight, but tired when the final drive came. CACTIS BCD was miller pressure throughout. DISTANCE slipped and fell afti r taking the fifth and TOP II AT refused at the third. CENESIS was hampered at the start, but finished fast and resolutely and outstayed COUNTY COFRT. The latter ran well all the way. P.ARBY was eased up in the linal quarter. THE DEAN showed speed.
