KLERURNE was forced back in the first quarter and came wide into the stretch, but finished fast and gamely and overhauled GROSVENOR in the final strides. OROSVENOR, well up from the start, raced into the lead 011 the last turn and held on resolutely in the closing drive. TILLOTSON raced forwardly, but was a distant third. RIGTODO ran well. RUFORD moved up swiftly through the stretch and. holding on gamely, outstayed GKKENTREB in the last few strides. GREENTREE again ran sluggishly early, but raced into the lead and seemed to have the race won in the last eighth, only to tire right at the end. SOU GILSEY began slowly, but closed a big gap and was going fastest at the end. TRUSTY tired after setting the pace for a half mile. ROSEWOOD tired in the stretch. WATER WITCH was repeatedly interfered with in the early running and came wide 1 into the stretch, but finished fastest of all.
