NOMINATIONS FOR A CANADIAN RACE. Montreal. Que.. May 25. The Connaught Cup. which will be the feature race „f the third day of the spring meeting at the Montreal Jockey Club. opening at Blue Bonnet-:. June 8, lias attracted the liest list of entries this filurv has yet had. Twice as many have been named as compared with 1915 and, with favorable conditions, a good field should go to the Hist. This race has a handsome gold cup presented to the Montreal Jockey Club as a l erpetual challenger trophy by Field Marshall His Royal Highness the IMike of Conuaught and Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Conuaught. The conditions are fashioned for three-year-olds and over, owned prior to May 1 by Canadians residing in Canada. It is a handicap and has an added money value of ,500. The distance is one mile and a quarter. This will lie the fifth running of the race and. with such a list of horses as have been named, acceptances should lie numerous and a good contest ensue.
