SLEEPY SAM. close up from the start, came wide on the stretch turn, but closed up in resolute fashion and outgamed P.RIGHT SAND in the final drive. The latter showed the most early si eed, but tired badly in the last sixteenth. GRATITUDE came through fast on the inside in the stretch. BRIGHT AND EARLY tired after racing well to the stretch. MINDA. after being outrun for the first half, wore the leaders down in the homestretch and got up to win in the final stride. ETHAN ALUM raced into a good lead in the first quarter and retained his advantage until in the last eighth, where he tired badly. WAVERING was much used in following ETHAN ALLEN and also tired in the final drive. HAROLD ran fairly well. The winner was entered for 00: no bid. Scratched— 26997 Hamerkop. 100.
