MARTIN NATHANS0N RESIGNS AT MT. ROYAL, Montreal. Que., July 17. Carrying out threats maele on Saturday, the; horsemen refused to"In;ike entries this afternoon for tomorrows rae-ing at Mount Royal, until their demands that they be allowed to make the elrawing in allrthe "races to be split, we-re ncceeled tei and, after holding out until nearly 2 oclock, the management of the track gave way and allowed the. horsemen to make the split in two races scheduled to be; run tomorrow, wheih drew more than the requisite number of entries. This move on the part of the management of the club brought ahQnfTi change in the ofHeials of the; meeting. Martin Xathansou, who was presiding judge and "racing secretary, risigneel his position, and Sltiridau Clarke was made presiding juelge, and Charles Canipean, associate judge and racing sieritary. Senne of the horsemen stated that they would later on make the same demands ou the tracks racing under the jurisdiction of the Canadian Racing Associations, us well as the tracks in other localities.
