CHANGE IN JOCKEY CLUB RULES. New York, July 10. At a recent mooting of the Jookey Club an amendment to the rules of racing was adopted relating to handicap weights. Under the old rules in all handicaps where the? milled money exceeds 1916.sh00 it was mandatory that the top Weight should not lie less than 11115 pounds. Now the rule has been changed, fixing 120 pound;; as the minimum top weight in all handicaps in excess of 00, except in selling handicaps. The original amendment did not make the exception for selling handicaps and it was introduced by Spalding L. Jenkins on behalf of the Maryland Jockey Clnli, which desired to increase purses without being forced to go to the handicap weight regulation. The amendment to the amendment, excepting the felling handicaps, was Introduced by Captain Cas-satt and was at once accepted by Mr. .IcnkiiiK. Following the meeting of the Jockey Club there was a session of the stewards at which Schuyler L. Parsons was appointed steward to represent the Jockey: Club at the Saratoga meeting.
