STOUT HEART began slowly and was outpaced early but was lucky in getting through on the inside, and. saving ground on all the turns, finished fast and outstayed KOOTENAY in the final drive. KOOTENAY made up ground and tired after passing RATINA. YORK LAD worked his way up on the outside and finished with a rush. RATINA set a fast pace to the last eighth and tired. BOLALA ran well. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
