MR. SEAGRAM LANDS ANOTHER STAKE RACE. TwcntyrOno Claims for Typhoon Lodandcd After Ho Wins at Windsor. Detroit, Mich., August 1!. Gala Dress and Galley Head, carrying the colors of Joseph K. Seagram, finished first and second in the Windsor Double Kvent this afternoon. The Windsor Double Event is one of the annual fixtures of the fall meeting here and is a much coveted stake by the Canadians. There were six starters in todays race and tiie first two came from behind the pacemaker Minnetonka, in the stretch and beat her out in the final strides. Christie beat a band of good ones in the Walker-ville Handicap, took an easy lead in the homestretch and won going away. II. D. Drown announced this afternoon the dates for racing at the Oriental Park course in Cuba next winter. The meeting will begin December 7 and continue to March 2!S. There will be three racing days a week Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from the opening to Christmas, and six days from then on to the close of the meeting, Mondays excepted. In all there will be eighty-three days of racing. Tin; purses will be 00. .00 and 1916.sh00. The officials will be practically the same as at the last meeting with C. .1. Fitz Gerald presiding in the stewards stand and James m Milton doing the starting. Twenty-one claims were lodged for Typhoon after he won the second race. It was probably a record number. F. T. Shortell secured the colt for 1916.sh00. Tiie following also filed claims for him: K. L. Raker, M. Lowenstein, II. G. Redwcll. S. Louis, E. T. Zollicoffor. G. W. Alexandra, W. Fen-wick. F. W. Staton. F. Farrar. D. A. OMeara. !. L. Strang, W. Smith. T. E. Cummings. P. Sheridan. W. W. D.irdcn, W. Perkins, A. W. Raker, E. Cook, P.. Ncstlehouse and M. C. Kelly. The stewards of tin; Canadian Racing Associations held a meeting this morning in the clubhouse at Windsor Several applications for licenses were acted upon and the suspension of jockey E. Ambrose was ordered to terminate with tiie close of the Windsor meeting. John Payne was an arrival from Kentucky and left for Saratoga tonight, where he will remain for the rest of the meeting. Eleven claims were lodged for Rirka after she won yesterday and in tiie drawing Willliam Store-mont secured the mare. R. Williams, who claimed Kootenay yesterday for 00, turned tho horse over to AV. Perkins to train. The division of the Harry Payne Whitney stable that Albert Simons is training, will be shipped from here to Dclmont Park at the conclusion of the Windsor meeting. It is understood that most of the horses will be sold. William Walker shipped his stable from Windsor to Montreal this morning. William Oblender, agent for the Grand Trunk, shipped eight carloads of horses from Toronto to the Mount Royal track on Friday.
