P0KMERN HELD AT RECORD PRICE. In regard to rumors which have recently gained currency concerning the possibility of the sale of Vominern, it is, we believe, a fact that foreign buyers have made overtures to Mr. S. B. Joel for the purchase of the son of Volymelus and Merry Agnes. We understand, however, that even 50,000 pounds, or in other words, an advance of "ten thousand" on the record price for a stallion paid for Vrince Valatine would fail to induce his owner to sell. That, at all events, we gather is the present position, but were Mr. S. B. Joel to modify his present views in the future any change of ownership would In all probability take the shape of a partnership between him and his brother, Mr. J. B. Joel, who, we understand, is desirous of having an interest in last years "triple crown" j hero. "Vigilant" in Loudon Sportsman.
