BLACKLIST THREATENED FOR DEVONSHIRE. Toronto. Out.. September 27. Alleged to bo actuate. bv flu; fear that the threatened multiplicity of race "tracks in the border town of Ontario, will be followed by legislative action that will -wipe ; racing out altogether in Canada, the directors of the established jockey clubs and racing associations of the province, with the exception of the ; Ontario Jockey Club, have united in a movement t to prevent the opening of Windsors third race trade. Devonshire Park, where racing is scheduled to begin on Saturday next. It is i claimed that the directors of the Ontario Jockey Club will join in the movement at a meeting to held -within a day or two. . The Hamilton Jockey Club, the Niagara Racing Association Port Erie and the Windsor Jockey Club Windsor have given out the following announcement: - "Realizing that increasing the number of race J tracks will be a menace to racing in Ontario, we ;; thereby notify all persons that participate in tin; i forthcoming advertised meeting of the so-called 1 Devonshire track. Windsor, that those persons and 1 horses so participating will be denied any and all 1 privileges at meetings hereafter to be given by v the foregoing three mentioned members of the 0 Canadian Racing Associations." The Metropolitan Racing Association Dnfferin a Park, Toronto, the Toronto Riding and Driving g Club Kenilworth Park, Windsor, have announced it themselves as follows: "Inasmuch as racing in Ontario is threatened 1 -with additional tracks and. believing that such increase - will be detrimental to thoroughbred racing g in general, notice is hereby given that all persons and horses participating in the proposed Devonshire e meeting at Windsor, will be refused entry at all I of tins foregoing tracks." Detroit, Mich., September 27. Secretary Martin n Xathanson, of the Western Racing Association, announced - today that Devonshire Park would open on u Saturday anil race exactly as advertised. He declared - that thirty-five owners, stabled at the Kenilworth - and Windsor tracks, had voted this afternoon - to race at Devonshire Park and inmiediately began to move their horses to the new course.
