CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. The stallion Trevisco, Kenneth I. Alexanders recent purchase, left England recently for his new home in Kentucky. J. W. Pangle is getting together a big stable for racing at Havana. He already has twelve and expects more before the time for shipping arrives. George I. AVidencr, Jr.s handsome two-year-old lilly. Farce, by Rire aux Larmes Armenia dam of Durbar, has been thrown out of training by A. J. Joyner. Star Master. Star Gazer and The Cock, which were left behind at Belmont Park when the rest of the Macomber stable was shipped to Kentucky, have rejoined their stablcniates at Churchill Downs. The nine-year-old chestnut stallion Magic, by Martagon Sesame, by St. Simon, has arrived at New York from England for Willis Sliarpe Kilmer and will be at once transferred to that gentlemans stud at Biughampton, N. Y. He is an extremely well-bred horse and one of good individuality. Trainer Jerry Carroll has shipped Jacoba, Hauberk, Black Eagle and Merry Thought of W. R. Coos string to Laurel. Harmonicon and eleven of Mr. Coes mares will leave Red Bank, N. J., for Mr. Coes Shoshone Ranch, in Wyoming, at once. These mares have been mated to Harmonicon. Congressman George W. Loft has taken barn No. 1 at Belmont Park with the intention of having it enclosed and otherwise improved at an expense of some ,000 so that it will constitute first-class winter quarters for his string of thoroughbreds, the active members of which are now in Maryland in charge of trainer Max Hirsch. Friar Rock, champion three-year-old of 191G, is taking tilings easily in the barn of his new owner, John E. Madden, at Belmont Park along with a score more of the Madden" thoroughbreds. He is putting on some weight and seems to be in admirable condition for the beginning of his prospective term of rest and ease at Hamburg Place, where he will in all probability spend the remainder of his days. .
