Sunbonnet was e the runner-up and Mary Belle just beat Believe Me Boys for third .place. The Bradley filly was s the leader in the early running, with "Westy Hogan t a close second under hard restraint. lie drew out j decisively when called on. The sport was of high class, with the finishes close and contention spirited from barriers rise t to the finish. t The continued activity on the part of the stewards has firmly convinced owners, trainers, jockeys and 1 others here that the occasional fast and loose j policy some have followed is now a thing of the past and that transgressions, if there are any, will be dealt with in no half-hearted fashion. AV. .1. Webers Hodge, which at present is in rare form, gave another sparkling exhibition when J he won the mile anil an eighth handicap, in which lie was conceding scale weight to all the others. Todays attendance was on a par with the best fall gathering seen at the course. Speculation was likewise of banner proportions. Jockey Buxton, who rode Sunbounet today, complained after the race to the stewards that Kederis on Berlin had deliberately offered interference to Sunbomiet at the start. Starter Morrissoy corroborated Buxton. The stewards promptly suspended Kederis for ten" days. Mr. and Mrs. A. K. Macomber departed tonight for a brief visit to Lexington.
