Millett, is critically sick and in the Knox-ville General Hospital at Knoxville, Teen. Little ! hope of his recovery is held out by the physician 1 in charge. . Fletcher Dryver has bought of O. II. Chenault for . A. B. Hancock the mares Any Day, dam of Floral Dav, Floreal and Leo Ray, and Floreal, winner of the Kentucky Oaks and dam of Green Jones, winner of this years Harold Stakes. There will be about eight carloads of horses to leave Latonia for Juarez at the end of this month. Among the owners intending to ship are W. E. Applegate, Frank D. Weir, It. P. Dickinson. J. C. . The only time In the ten races s that he was as far back as third at the finish was s when he was behind Top o th Morning and Arriet t at Windsor, but the distance on that occasion was s a mile, which is a trifle farther than A. N. I. Akins best distance. . Harry Payne Whitneys spleiidid four-year-old . filly Regret, bv Broomstick Jersey Lightning, by y Hamburg, has been permanently retired from the e turf and will go into the stud at Brookdale. Hansa a has also been sent to the stud. Clapperbill, Bromo, Tumbler and Hwfa are now geldings. Thunderer !r went seriously amiss at about the opening of the e Saratoga meeting and was sent to Brookdale for the e remainder of the season.
