CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. John Lowe has arrived at Latonia from Laurel. While in the east he purchased Whirling Dun and will collect a stable to race this winter. Iimlico has now 715 stalls, where last year it had only 550. The fine new stables have had twenty-one rooms built upstairs for sleeping apartments for stablemen. Judge W. H. Shelley will leave immediately after the close of the Latonia meeting for Laurel, where he will confer with manager Winn of the Juarez track regarding the coming winter meeting there. The claims of G. Alexandra and J. R. Goodman were both declared invalid in the rush to secure Early Sight after his winning race at Kenilworth last Saturday. Trainer W. A. Carter was fined 5 for intimidation in connection with the claiming.
