HORSES GATHERING AT NEW ORLEANS. Xew Orleans. La., November 10. One of the mo:;t important developments during the past week was the visit to Xew Orleans of Charles T. Paterson,, representing the big stable of Frederick Johnson and 0. K. G. Killings, millionaire eastern turfmen, who will send to Xew Orleans, for the winter meeting, nineteen thoroughbreds, among them ten recently imported two-year-olds from the best-known stables of England. Ireland and France. Word was received from G. L. Blackford, of DcnnlRon, Tex., that lie is bringing six Texas-bred yearlings here to race. Among the arrivals the past two days were the stables of the following: I. 15. Freeman witli El Pa to, Pasha and Vampire; W. J. Foley with Lady Ward and Walter Duncan; Eugene Lutz with Miss Represent, Enjoy, Leialoha and Messenger Boy; G. It. Marlman with Paymaster. Greenwood and Uncle Jimtuie; G. II. Abbott with Impression and Xo Manager; Ed Moore with Clara Morgan; Dr. P. J. Sullivans Ellen Smyth and Rey Oakwood; Capt. V. J. Press Boneros First, Baby Cal. Gentlewoman and Recluse; W. C. Weants Stelcliff, Sovereign, Moss Fox. Auto Maid, Ranioua and Corona; J. T. Wests London Girl; G. L. Davenports Lady Powers, Sang Bleu and Handeniar. Horsemen have the use of the track now until 0 oclock each morning, when the thoroughbreds are galloped and worked and after this hour the Fair Association closes the track to the horsemen. Judge Joseph A. Murphy is now in the north making flnsil arrangements for the race meeting. Judge Murphy is the presiding judge at Bowie, and while there he will compile the complete list of eastern turfmen who will race here next winter.
