CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Up to November 1, of this year, 827 two-year-olds started in American racing, of which 437 were returned winners of one or more races. G. W. Crinnen is among the recent arrivals at Juarez. He has Moller, Bermudian and four other horses to race there. Moller has just been fired. Among the nominations that have been received for the 1919 running of the Lawrence Realization is that of a bay colt by Black Sand Parthemis, that is still in Frauce. This nomination came from the Bclair Stud. Thursday was thoroughbred day at the National Horse Show, and John E. Madden, Kentucky breeder, came from Louisville to act as a judge of thoroughbred stallions. He spent four and a half minutes in the ring and selected Willis S. Kilmers Yellow Crest, formerly Captain John, seventeen hands, as first prize winner for stallions three years old and over. The same horse won the prize last year. The good old slave, Monocacy, is eating the oats of idleness just now, while the lawyers, and the courts are occupied with the question of who has the say about his activities and his earnings. Mrs. Dolly Trovato, his owner, is the defendant in an injunction case, in which J. B. Dunn, who lias been managing the horse all summer, is the plaintiff, and Monocacy is the issue. In the Weekly Court at Osgood Hall yesterday Chief Justice Sir William Mulock continued the injunction in the case until the trial is held, and that is due at Sandwich on November 27. the action having arisen while the horse was at Windsor. Dunn claims that something is still due for his management of the horse, and the owner denies it. Toronto Globe.
