CONSIDERABLE IMPROVEMENT IN THE FORTUNES OF THE STABLE RACED BY H. OOTS IN 1916 Howard Oots has ever reason to be satisfied with the stable winnings of the horses racing in his colors during 1010. While there were eighteen horses in the stable, only thirteen sported colors during the year and earned for their owner the goodly sum of .3,341, which was over twice as much as his stable won for him in 1915. The four-year-old filly. Lady Mexican, was his best winner with a total of .,770 to her credit, the result of five winning races and two seconds. Enlogy, Cadenza, Butterscotch II. and Black Frost were the others who assisted materially in the success of the stable, all earning more than ,000. The record of the stable for the year is given below, with the suggestion that some of his well-bred English horses may show decided improvement in 1917: Horse. Col. and Sex. A.
