SUCCESS ACHIEVED BY J. 0. TA1B0TT WITH A GOOD STRING OF WHITNEY CAST-OFFS Witli a stable composed chiefly of horses bred by and purchased from II. P. Whitnev, the western turfman, J. O. Talbott, fared comfortably in the racing of 1915. His best winner was Borrows brother. Slumber II. He is not the equal of Borrow by any means, but he is more than an average racer himself and, like Borrow, was introduced to racing in England. The well-preserved veteran. Monocacy, won well for him before passing to another owner and was second to Slumber II. in the stable returns, with Vermont a good third. Prince Henry was not far behind Vermont in earnings and is probaby the faster horse of the two. The Hamburg two-year-olds, Grecntiee. Cherry Itipe and Glitter, all won for the stable and may turn out to be useful three-year-olds in 1017. The stable record for the year was: Horse. Col. and Sex. A.
