GOVERNOR-GENERAL HONORARY PRESIDENT. Connaught Park Jockey Club Honored By the Duke of Devonshire. Ottawa. Jan. 10. — At the last meeting of the directors of the Connaught Park Jockey Club. Presi dent Belcourt announced that his Excellency the Governor — General had accepted the Honorary Presidency of the club. His Boyal Highness the Duke of Connaught, after whom the club was named, has been Honorary Iresidint from the inauguration of the 1 cal taring association. His excellency the Duke of Devon shire has always taken a keen interest in the breeding and racing of thoroughbred horses.
