DIFFICULTY OVER RUN-UP AT JUAREZ Kay Spence and B. E. Stevens Come to Blows Over Bid-Up of Lone Star — Stevens Fined 00. El Paso. Tex.. January 15. — Lone Star was advanced from »M to |W0 by Kay Spence after Waning the last race Saturday, but was retained. After the runup. D. A. Stevens and his son. H. E. Mereaa, Lea* Stars owners, openly insulted Spence, i alas stronge language. 15. E. Stevens then struck Spence several times, the blows having little effect. After an investigation by the stewards Sunday. P.. L. Stevens was fined .00. but D. A. Stevens was exonerated. Stevens and his sons are owners of a f I store ;I E. Paso and Laaa Star is the most successful of KVaaal horses which they recently hao acquired.
