CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Thirteen stiver cups have been donated as special trophic* f..;- the Horse Show, to be held in Havana in February. The donors are American sp .its-men. The fast filly. Marie Miller, in the stable of II. S. Newman at New Orleans, is rounding to good form and will be seen under colon shortly. Bail-birds say that this filly is speedy and will be hard to beat ill the sprints. At the conclusion of the Havana meeting. E. Ambrose, Who is now riding for the Cuban sportsman. A. Lezama. will report to Henry McDaniel at Laurel, Md.. where the string of Willis Sharpe Kilmer is in winter quart, is. I.. A. Seregni. whose Potclus finished second to Petlar at New Orleans last week, requested of the judges that the bandages on the winners legs be removed so he could look them over. His request was compiled with and then he did not put in a daim for him. The veteran rider. T. Donoghiie. was again in evidence. At the Mndgee meeting he was second oa his ou a male. Tehama, in the Opening Handicap, and later won the llavilah Welter on her. -. Donoghne is fifty-eight years of age, he must be made of tough material. There is certainly nothing of the "too old at forty" about him — Sydney Referee.
