| I "SLACKERS" ARE NOT WANTED. Connaught Park Jockey Club Will Not Employ Eligibles for Overseas Service. Ottawa. Can.. January 19. — The Connaught Fark Jockey Club is taking a drastic step to encourage lvcruiting and to assist those who have done their bit at the front. Last year the local racing association decided to employ none but Canadians where-over possible, and carried out that rule to the letter. Kecently a iiiemlu-r of the managetniiit committee stated that the board had decided to employ in the pari-inntiiol plants none who were eligible for active- servile ovirseas. This means that all of the 100 positions in connection with tin pari mutuel pavilion will be given to returned seiidicrs, rejected ricruits or those- over military age. There will be uo exceptions.
