HAUBERK WINS HIS RACE COMES FROM BEHIND AND NAILS MARS CAS-SIDY RIGHT AT THE END. Herbert Temple Gets Up in Time to Defeat Gainer — Several Close Finishes Please the Spectators — General Track Gossip. New Orleans. La.; January 23. — TbUC was more snap to the racing this afternoon than has been noted bete for some time. Some of the finishes likewtM were elose and exciting, accounting for the enthusiasm displayed at different times. Weather and track conditions showed little improvement if any. but owners and trainers are becoming accustomed to these handicaps and evince an inclination to send some of their better ior-os to the post. There was a confident plunge on Hauberk and a correspondingly effort to keep spy of All Smiles, which the experts held was the logical favorite for the race.
