JUAREZ MAY CLOSE FEBRUARY 11. Three Days a Week Racing to Be Tried Before Closing Date Is Definitely Decided Upon. EI Paso. Tex.. January 23. — There are rumors to the effect that the present Juarez meeting will come to an end on February 11. When questioned about the matter. however. Col. Matt J. Winn, the general manager of the Jockey Club Juarez said: "Nothing definite regarding a date for closing has bees decided as yet. Conditions in Mexico are not propititees !or racing just at present, but we will give the three days a week racing a trial before reaching any conclusion. We may close on February 11. and again we may continue for an indefinite period." A carload of twelve horses arrived at the track this morning. In the shipment were the horses of J. M. Stowe and S. I.eDuke.
