TWO WINDSOR MEETINGS MUCH ALIKE. Total of Stake and Purse Moneys for July and August Gatherings Quite Similar. Detroit. Mich.. February 27. — F.liminntiiig the Frontier and Windsor Jockey Club Handicaps, which will involve 0,000 and 55.0H in added money respectively, tlere wont be a particle of difference between the first meeting. July 14 to 21. and the s eoml meeting. August 15 to 22, at the Windsor track, in financial attractiveness. Including the Frontier, which is the initial meetings big tea tare, and the Jockey Club Handicap, the outstanding stake of the second week, there will be an advantage of S5.000 in favor of the meeting that is staged in July. In the overnight purses, which will have an average of 00, no alterations will be made at either meeting. Altogether there will be 03,400 in stakes, handicaps and overnight aanraea. 1 his amount will be split evenly with the exception of the aforementioned 08.000 that represents the greater value of tiie Frontier Handicap over the Windsor Jockey Club Handicap. Total of Ninety-Eight Races. During the fourteen racing days granted it by the Canadian B.ning Associations the Windsor Jockey Club will promote a total of ninety eight races, of which eighty-eight are overnight events. The remaining ten comprise the handicap an.i stake events that have a total valuation of .sSl.OOO. If the order of things in 1910 is followed, the 1 rentier will feature opening day of the July meeting and the F.deiiwold. the two-year-old race, the final day. This would allow for the Martimus to be slipped in the second la 1 day, usually barren of any feature other than what might develop from the card of overnight racea. With a schedule of tiiat arrangement tlie five stakes weald I"- run in this order: Frontier. 0,000 added. D. and C.. IsJ.OOII added. Double Fvent first half, ,000 added. Martimas. ,000 added. lldeiuvold. .S2.000 added. That would have the Windsor lackey Club Hnnili cap, which takes the place of the Detroit and Winds at Kerry Company Handicap, to open the August meet ing. and the ieorge llendrie Memorial Trophy ta lose it. Second Meeting Attractive. Those two, with the addition of three other ,000 added races, would swell the value of the second meetings stake features to 3,000. an amount designed to make the owners of established handicap and stake stars think twice before refusing to lie among those pres nt. The Windsor Jockey Club Handicap is of the same value that drew fifty-nine nominations for the Frontier last summer. When the bitter feature was doubled in its added money, the club increased the Detroit and Windsor Perry Oaaapaay value by ,000, called it by its n a mime and now flaunts it to the gaze of the In iseraen. The arrangement conspires to balance the attractions between the meetings, otherwise interest would be lost after the Frontier passed into history. Here are the stake races for the second mating; Windsor Jockey Club Handicap. ,000 added. Double Event second half. 82, OIK added. Canadian Handicap. ,000 added. Iroxincial Selling Stakes. SL.IHHI added. George Hendrie Memorial Trophy, ,000 added.
