WHITNEYS STRONGEST STABLE AT BOWIE. String Under Management of Albert Simons Being Prepared for the Meeting. BallllQSH . Md.. March 2C— Harry Payne Whitney of New York will send the strongest stable of race 1 oises that have trained at l.i lining to Howie this week, to be sharpened up for the Southern Maryland Agriealtarol Associations spring meeting. For years post the second string of the Whitney establishment, the string that races under the management of Albert Simons in Maryland in April and May and makes the Canadian circuit in summer, has wintered at Norfolk. Bat the Jamestown Jockey Clubs old track has been cut up into town lots in the last year, and Simons was forced to shift his quarters to Benoiog. There are fifteen two year-olds in the Simons end of the Whitney establishment, i ii" three -year-old Mild two veterans, all of them home-bred except the four-year-old ClapperbtlL Simons baa been busy with these runrers all winter in fair weather and for.I. and it is generally conceded by the Washington trainers that they are as fit as any that will go from BeaoiOg to Howie. Robinson showed considerable skill in Maryland last fall. his only noticeable fault being his sluggishness at the starting gate, aod Simons believes he can correct that.
