INTEREST IN HAVRE DE GRACE STAKES. Centers Mainly in First Two-Year-Old Event to Be Run in the East This Year. Baltimore. Md., March 28. — The first stake races to lie decided in the east this year will be those offered by the Harford Agricultural and Breeders As .ociation to be run at its spring meeting at Havre de Grace, immediately following the close of the- twelve- clays racing at Howie. Chester and Wilmington have over fifty entries, with the exception Of the last-named in which only forty-seven were named. The Aberdeen for two-year -ol. Is attracted the largest number of all. sixty-three youngsters beiny named. Tin- Perryville. another stake for two-year-olds received fifty-seven nominations. Considerable interest attaches to these two juvenile st. ikes, as they will be the first two-year-old fixtures to be decided in the east and will afford a good line on what we may expect in the younger division. Qolte a few of the most important stables have entered one or more of their promising young racers. In the Aberdeen II. P. Whitney has named nine choicely-bred youngsters. ; mong which is a filly by his renowned young -ti.llion Whisk Broom II. B. T. Wilson is represented by three-, two colts and a filly.
