CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. George Arvin has purchased at private terms from W. II. linker, the promising two year-old Itreezy. She is a bay filly by Dick Welles— Lady Kolla and has worked fast in her early trials. Frank J. Bryan has accepted an invitation to officiate as one of the judges for the Maryland up Point to Point Steeplechase to be run in the Green Spring Valley, Maryland, on Saturday, April LS. The three year -old filly Satsuma Helle, which raced at Tijuana during the winter, lias l een shipped to Havre de Grace, where she will be tried out thoroughly against some of the better grade of horses in the east. Charlie Grand is to join the staff of cross-country riders of the J. E. Davis stable, now at Denning. The stable will lie well provided with riding material for. beside Grand, trainer Brady will have A. Lee, R. Gilbert and A. Nicklaus to call on. Among the imported horses that will be introduced in jumping races this season are winners from France, Spain. England and Ireland last year. Their form, when it comes to meeting the best of the home-bred, should bring some interesting developments. Iu the mails from the soldiers in France the main query is: "Who is going to win the Kings Plate this year?" The Seagram statIe appears to have the strongest hand on past performances, but the next few weeks might develop some surprises. — Toronto Star.
