DONT KNOW WHERE THEY ARE. The frequent announcements that come from Montreal about the dates for the "independent" race tracks in that neighborhood are without any authority at all. and without little foundation in fact, according to a Montrealer concerned in independent racing in that district. "Two of them that arc named in the list will not run on the dates named, nor on any other dates this year. Still another is extremely doubtful, and yet another is in the market for a purchaser. That last is Delori-lnier, the oldest and most stable of them all. and the only one of the half-milers with a prospect of sneefss under the new regulations imposed by the Quebec government for the coming season. The next story you will read from Montreal will be a list of dates showing that "Kill" Murrays Maison -BOnrn meeting will not run sn the dates announced last week, and a general shuffling of the list, in order to get out of the way of Dclorimier.
