MISS GORDON LOSES CASE. New Orleanr. La.. May 14. —Miss Jean Gordon has finally lost in her litigation to have the Business Mens Bacing Association thrown into the hands of a receiver on the ground that the betting as conducted at the Fair Grounds track was violative of the i»rovisions of the Locke law. The Supreme Court, with Associate Justice ONeill as the organ, handed down a decision sustaining a judgement of Judge Skinner in the Civil Court. Judge Skinner had sustained the plea of the Business Mens Bacing Association to Miss Gordons application for a receiver. This settles the matter finally save for the application for a rehearing insofar as the suit in point is concerned.
