WILMINGTON MEETING BIG SUCCESS. Wilmington. Del.. May 22. — The three day meeting held here at Wawaset Park was a big success and it was evident from the enthusiasm displayed that Wilmington has welcomed the thoroughbred with open arms. Wawaset Park, heretofore given over to the harness horse and the show horse, hereafter will be the home of the thoroughbred, if the wishes of the people of Wilmington are consulted. Wawaset Park course is undoubtedly the most beau- itiful half-mile course in the east, and with a big sittendance, there was every reason for the management to l e highly pleased with the inaugural run-nitig meeting. General Manager Luke Cassidy was -warmly congratulated upon the success of the meeting.
