Won easilv: second and third driving. SUNROSE began rapidly and. tahing a long lead la the early raaalag, held TREASURE TROVE safe in the linal drive. The latter was uniter pressure from the start, but roaM never gat to the leader. LOW DEGREE was Mtpaced for the first half, but closed a gap with a belated rush on tl itside and outstayed BILLET DOUX at the end. The latter ■hawed speed, but quit under punishment. The latter appeared hiirh in flesh, but gaineil steadily and the effort should improve him. STRAIGHT FORWARD closed a big gap and was gaining rapidly in the closing strides. THE BANSHEE II. showed speed, but quit as if short. BALLY and SORTIE began badly. MILKMAN ran poorly. MADEIRA was eased up in the last quarter. Overweights — Julialeon. AFRICAN ARROW met with repeated interference and tired in the final sixteenth. SCABBARD was forced wide on the stretch turn and tired when forced to a drive. TUMBLE IN finished gamely. Overweights — Tumble In, 1 pound; Sir Robert, 2%.
