NOTES OF THE TURF FROM OTHER LANDS. The Same Agin, a smart Irish chaser, sold by Mr. Joseph Whclan to the American sportsman, Mr. Bellinter, died on the journey across the Atlantic. Friar Marcus, the Kings champion sprinter, has been turned out of training, and sent to the stud. He will stand at Egcrton House at a fee of 4S sovereigns. Race meetings have ljeen authorized to take place at Bordeaux on July 17, 20. 24 and 27, when the prizes will be reserved for horses bred in the South and West of France. Eeferring to the return of Madden, the jockey, to the saddle, "Deutscher Sport" reminds its readers that he was born and reared at Hoppe-garten, where his mother still resides. At one of the recent Karlshorst meetings the attendance was so large that no fewer than twelve special trains were necessary to convey the crowds. The Karlshorst course is situated just outside Berlin. After the success of Antivari in the Prix de lHorloge at Chantilly, the stewards of the French Jockey Club sent a passage of congratulation to King Alfonso, his royal owner. The king of Spains stable is apparently in great form just now, for at the Aranjues meeting on May 24 it won the only three races in which it was represented.
