FAMOUS RACE HORSE BAYARD0 IS DEAD. Was the Champion Racer of His Day in England and a Coming Sire. We are informed by the British P.loodstoek Ag.ney that A. YV. Cox, more familiarly known under his racing iiom de plume of Mr. Palrte, has sustained a serious loss by the death of his famous stallion Bayardo, Which took place suddenly at Maatea en Monday. June . Bayards, which was bred by his owner, was foaled in ISM and was by Hay Ronald--Cnliciu dam sf Leaaberg, by Qsktpia— Isstetta and had a highly distinguished career on the turf. As a two-year old he was unbeaten, winning seven raees. H is defeat was made in the New Stakes at Ascot, in which he defeated lVrdiccas. lerola ami tea ethers.
