CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. William Walker will ship eight head, including Doltna and Boxer, from Toronto to Windsor on Thursday. After winning the fifth race Monday at King Edward Park, Scallywag was claimed by W. A. Kling for 23. Jockey Eddie Taplin was set down indefinitely by the stewards on Saturday at King Edward Park for rough riding in the sixth race, when he had the mount on Marianao. Jockey A. Collins is leading the jockeys riding over the New York tracks. Up: to and including Saturdays racing, Collins had piloted twenty-four winners over the Metropolitan tracks. John Cavahagh rallied the racegoers at the Aqueduct track for contributions to the fund for having "smokes" for Uncle Sams expeditionary army and secured 01. W. R. Midgley, trainer for the G. A. Cochran stable, collected 7.50 from his force. .
