Macombers star English bred colt North Star III., which wont wrong on the eve of the Kentucky Derby, and which lias been turned out since, if! said to be going nicely, but it is doubtful if Mr. Macomber will care to risk starting the colt before next year. Eugene Leigh, who has been gradually collecting a string of thoroughbreds since lie returned to this country from France, contemplates going to Havana for the winter taking with him the active division of ids string and also five or six yearlings, which look as if they might come to hand early and win a few races daring the latter part of the winter. .tames Corrigan, who lias purchased the entire stock of horses in training, stallions and broodmares T formerly owned by Mr.- Corrigan and Price McKinney jointly, says he will keen the establishment intact and follow the plans laid out when the partnership was contracted. "I am not going to sell, but contiue racing, said Mr. Corrigan, "and hope to breed" some high-class horses in due time. The material is in Kentucky and will, remain there. Mr. McKinney has been a busy man for some time and is now resting and did not want the worry of a big racing establishment, so I took it r oyer." - -
