CHEYENNE MEETING BEGINS TODAY. Program of Eight Races Arranged for Opening Day Red Cross Day August 23. Cheyenne, Wyo., August 17. Threatening skies and slight showers may change the track conditions tomorrow at Frontier Park. It is unusually early to get rain in this section, but the track can stand considerable and a little will materially help it. The city is overflowing with racing visitors and Secretary Finn lias arranged a fine program of eight races for the opening day. Many of the races have horses of fairly good class, while in others they are all about the same caliber. The association has set aside August 23 as Red Cross Day, when the free list will be entirely suspended and the entire gate receipts will be donated to the local Red Cross fund. Treasurer Talhott is anxious to gather a substantial amount on that day and is working hard with the assistance of the local business men to make it a big success.
