REVELER secured a clear course next to the inner rail all the way and, taking the lead at the eighth post, won with speed in reserve. RAPID FIRER saved much ground on the turns and held on gamely in the final drive. TOLERANCE was cut off on the last tuni. but came again in the last eiirhth and was gaming in the closing strides. PARRISII steadily improved his position and would have been closer up -with a stronger rider. JIM DINNEY began slowly and raced wide all the way, but closed -in immense gap and ran a good race. PORTIA, shuilled back at the start, finished with a rush in the 1-ist lr;,.V00VHK.lS.,yas in closc nuarters throughout. PRODUCER raced Into the lead and niiit CAVE MAN and GARONNE also quit. WOLFERTON II. fenced well ind responded gamely to punishment in the last quarter. CREST HILL, under slight restraint from the start closed up menacingly at the final fence, but tired in the last eighth aiid his rider eased him up, thereby losing second place. JACK HARE JR led under slight restraint in, the early running, then, after beiiiK passed, took the lead again at the eighth post but tired when challenged. MIDNIGHT SUN was a forward contender throughout and outstayed JUNE BUG in the closing strides. JUNE BUG was forced to race wide, but finished camelv under punishment. PANAMAN tired in the last eighth. ONWA showed the most early speed and after beinir passed, held on gamely for second place. FLASH OF STEEL raced forwardly throughout was under frequent punishment and outstayed QUEEN OF THE SEA in the final drive. QUEEN OF THF SF V saved ground on the turns, but lacked speed and tired near the end. The winner, entered for SSOO bid up to ,005 and bought in. a Scratched 34007 Solid Rock. 10G; 34911 Voluspa, 101.
