"Dick" Watkins has taken charge of the good sprinter Ed Cudihee. which raced in the colors of Grant Hugh Browne last year. Watkins also will train fur. Senator Ki-hard Johnson, of Laurel. wl o is breaking into the sport as an owner, his first purchase being one of the progeny of Prince Ahmed. W. Garth has the three-year-old Dr. Muck in his stable, owned liy rapt. Ral Parr. As Dr. Muck, the leader of the Koston Symphony Orchestra, after whom the horse is named, is charged with I icing an enemy alien. Garth wants to have Dr. Mucks name changed am will make application to the Jockey "lnb for su.li purpose. "Considering the fact that the change of name is requested for sentiment," says Garth, "the Jockey Club might give us sj e-cial dis|M nsation and not charge for the renaming of the gelding." OLD PIMLICO TRACK SAVED. The Maryland Jockey Club will remain permanently at the old hilltop track. An amendment to the Baltimore annexation bill, passed during the • losing hours of the session last night, exempts the tr.o-k from coming within the jurisdiction of the city authorities for a considerable time. The taxation, however, will revert to the county, which furnished the incentive for the Frick amendment. Joseph Edwards, trainer for Henry Waterson, arrived today to ins|iect the horses of the New York horseman which arc stabled h re and under the care of G. Herron. Edwards wiil ship the remainder of tlie Waterson string from Gravescnd to Jamaica about the first of next mouth. Jockey L. I.yke was au arrival today and will be seen in the saddle tomorrow.
