Rossetcrs breeding and racing establishments, arrived at Churchill Downs yesterday with five horses belonging to his employer, the -liipment having come direct from Mr. Rosseters Wikkiun ranch in California. The horses arrived in spl-ndid condition ami will lie placed in training for the spring season in Kentucky. Mr. Ktratc also brought three horses belonging i„ C. W. Clark, which were consigned to Mr. Clarks trainer. John Lowe, at LKtuglas Park. Two other horses, the pro|ierty of L. A. Blasingame. wealthy Californiaii. were also included in the shipment, aud these will be transferred to trainer II. T. Batchler li|Kill his arrival here. These latter ones were Rob-«rt K. I -e- a three -year-old colt by General Roberts — Princess, and Gold Thrush, a two -year -old. also by General Roberts. Roliert K. Lee was cam-paigncd at the last Tijuana meeting, where he won lour races. Owing to his haviug raced last year prior to April 1. the «-olt had to lie turned out for the remainder of the year. Following are the ones that will 1m- raced in the iuterest of Mr. Rosseter: BerriUs Image, bay filly. 4. by Berrill — Proud Beauty. F.niiu Pasha, black colt. 4. by Orsini--Tonel rae. Sereuest. brown filly. 4. by Trap Rock — Souve-raiuc. Dona Winifreds, bay filly. 3. by Hr. Lcggo — Roman Lady. Osiri«. bay colt. L. by Reformation — Sea Air. Mr. Strate brought the information that Mr. Rosseter has decided to bring a party of friends to witness the running of the Derby and stay for the entire Churchill Downs meeting. He also suited that Mr. Rosseter is going into the thoroughbred breeding business on a large scale. During the winter *45.0Nt was expended by Mr. Rosseter on a palatial training stable, while an additional .Xn was »!"*■ n furnishing and equipping quarters for the employes. A mile track, with a three-quarters straightaway course, is now under construction. The *tniliou Disguise f,r which Mr. Rosseter gave M.ZJO" at the Corrigan dispersal sale, is now the chief stallion at the Rosseter ranch. He is being bred to fifteen young marcs that Mr. Rosseter icccutiy brought from abroad. Disguise has already Iven bred to the mare Mauce ta ilia, a sister to Bay-N-rr.v Candle. Jockey A. Join-son. whose contract was purchased by Mr. R -ter. did uot arrive with the stable. He M-ut to hi* home in Spokane for a brief visit and is due •« reach here the first part of next week. -— •*
